XXXII Ingeborg
Lockemann/Elke Mohr 06.06. - 21.06.03 Elke Mohr COLONIA L'OUSTAL A video projection shows an elderly man who is moving through a deserted assembly of architecture. We cannot discern whether the protagonist is strolling through a brand new construction site or rather wandering through ruins. Yet the man does obviously have his reasons for this activity and he is determined to stick to his task. The surreal atmosphere of the video is supported by an installation, in which the artist combines architectural elements from the film set with CAPRI's own pedestals. Ingeborg Lockemann UNTITLED Tiny buildings, mini-sculptures, lamp posts, people etc. spread as a pattern over the wallpaper that Ingeborg Lockemann has glued to the walls of CAPRI. En miniature, the world on the walls seems to continue a picturesque street scenario of the gallery's outside as well as the view of the space's inside. (BC)
